Counts are by event, not by talk. I often submit multiple talks to the same event hoping one lands - an event counts as one accept if any talk was accepted, otherwise one rejection, etc.

A few notes about this record
- This is an incomplete list, and rejections are not tracked for all years. No rejections at all were recorded before 2019, so the early years show a 100% rate that just means I wasn't writing down the misses. Treat 2019 as the start of anything comparable.
- Invited talks are listed but not scored. BrightTALK slots and vendor webinars were arranged directly - no committee, no possible rejection. They're a guaranteed yes, and I did 16 of them in 2023 versus 2 in 2025, so leaving them in the rate would invent a decline that the actual CFP record doesn't show.
- COVID obviously affected in-person conferences. 2020 is empty here; 2021 is thin because most events moved virtual or got cancelled outright.
